Floating oils, dirt and waste can combine to form a scum line around the pool. Tile is an easily cleanable surface, which is why it is placed at the water level around the perimeter of the pool, and our weekly pool cleaning service prevent this scum line from forming. Also cleaning the scum inside the pool skimmer will help to keep the tile cleaner.

There are many factors that can contribute to this. Evaporation in the summer heat will take water out of your pool. First step would be to look for any obvious leaks at the equipment pad. Also look in the area surrounding the pool for puddles of water or squishy patches. If you cannot spot a clear leak, it is best to get a professional leak detection specialist. Shockwave Pool Service can help diagnose the problem and if it is a leak in your pool, we will connect you with a reputable company for repairs.
